How does the integration work?
When your virtual receptionist answers a call for your business, this integration will automatically push the details of the call as a message to a Slack channel.
The integration is a one-way sync. You can choose which message fields are pushed to Slack, such as the caller's name, phone number, and the message contents.
Activating the integration
From your AnswerConnect application, click on the Manage icon in the sidebar and choose the Integrations tab.
Select the Slack integration card.
Click the Integrate button located on the left side of the Slack integration window.
Connecting your accounts
To connect your Slack account with AnswerConnect, enter your Slack username and password. Click the pencil (Edit) icon next to the account to name your account.
Next, click Continue.
From the list, choose the Slack channel you want to use.
From the dropdown, select the message fields you want to include.
Mandatory target fields are marked with a red asterisk.
Next, click the Test button to verify the attributes are mapped correctly. Successful mapping will activate the integration.
Deactivating the integration
To deactivate the integration, go to Manage, choose the Slack integration card and click the Deactivate button.
